Starting from a Woody Allen-esque meeting on an abandoned bench, ZIG ZAG, by celebrated French dance company Cie Alexandra N’Possee features a hip hop movement vocabulary with a great soundtrack. ZIG ZAGcomes to KoresponDance following a successful performance at the Avignon Festival.

Park benches are great chroniclers, remembering moments of solitude as well as meetings and chance encounters. They experience good and bad emotions and shape-shift, transforming from bed to exercise equipment. In ZIG ZAG, the story of a homeless father plays out against the backdrop of a park bench. Moments of refusal and rapprochement collide in this family story told through a dialogue without words. This dance duet for two men is both a confrontation and a fragile search for balance and equilibrium.
